HomeMy WebLinkAbout03/29/1965 - City Council Special Meeting1 1 SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY -OF COSTA MESA March 29, 1965 The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, met in special session at 6:30 p.m., March 29, 1.965, at the City Hall, 695 West 19th Street, Costa Mesa. The meeting was called by Mayor Robert M. Wilson, the Councilmen and the Press having been duly notified, for the purpose of considering an appointment to fill a prospective vacancy on the City Council. The meeting was called to order by the Mayor followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Councilmen Present: Pinkley, Jordan, Wilson, Barck Roll Call Councilmen Absent: Meyers Officials Present: City Clerk Candidates The Mayor declared the Council to be in executive interviewed personnel session, and the following candidates for appointment to fill the vacancy created by the resigna- tion of Councilman Arthur H. Meyers were interviewed: Larry Slotkin Joseph L. Tomchak 3206 Vermont Avenue 1079 Corona Lane Thomas L. Thompson 1735 Labrador Drive J. Willard Bailey 2975 Mindanao Drive Charles A. Muto 3024 Samoa Place Tom Doyle 1744 Missouri. Street Franklin S. Hurd 3130 Limerick Lane Elmer B. Smith 185 Broadway John C. Leonhardt 2280 Miner Street Donald D. Hout 3249 Iowa Street Donald W. Hange 2030 Monrovia Avenue John O'Brien 3076 Molokai Place Decision announced After the completion of the interviews and discussion, Thomas L. Thompson the Mayor closed the executive session and announced chosen the decision of the Council to appoint Thomas L. Thompson to fill the unexpired term of Councilman Meyers.
