BACKGROUND
•Over the past year, during the COVID-19 pandemic,
civil unrest, economic challenges, and uncertainty,
some people in the community volunteered to help.
•On their own time, at personal risk, and often at
personal financial expense, individuals from
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and
Mesa Emergency Service Amateur Communications
(MESAC) volunteered thousands of hours helping
many of the most vulnerable in our City, making Costa
Mesa a better place to live, work, and visit.
