Dear Mayor and Council:
On behalf of our membership, we appreciate the opportunity to
offer comments on the amended language proposed for
consideration.
The Building Industry Association of Southern California, Orange
County Chapter (BIA/OC) is a non-profit trade association of over
1,100 member companies employing over 100,000 people affiliated
with the home building industry. Our mission is to champion
housing as the foundation of vibrant and sustainable communities.
Per our comments at the August 1, 2017 City Council meeting, the
revisions offered in the updated staff report address our concerns.
This new language will provide the tools Costa Mesa needs to
make informed decisions during the review process and removes
potentially extraneous requirements.
