January 7, 1974
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California,
met•in regular session at 6:30 p.m., January 7, 1974,
at the City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa. The
meeting was called to order by the Mayor, -followed by
the Pledge -of AllegianGe,tq _tbe Flag and Invocation
by the -Reverend Connie Salios., Harbor Trinity Baptist
Church.

Joan Margol, 1796 Kinglet Court, Costa Mesa, acting
chairperson of the -Goals and .Objectives Committee,
addressed the Council regarding the report submitted to
them -by this committee concerning the proposed Housing
Element of the Costa Mesa General Plan, and elaborated
on various recommendations and proposals, contained in
their report, for specific -programs related to housing.
Several members of the Goals and Objectives Committee
were in and recognized by the Council. Council-
man-Pinkley suggested that the Council attend a Study
Session with the.Planning.Commission to discuss the
committee's report. After discussion, on motion by
Councilman Pinkley, seconded by Councilman Wilson, and
carried, this item.was.referred to a Study Session to
be held at the earliest possible date, and the public
hearing -held open..
