A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE ORGANIZED RETAIL THEFT
PREVENTION GRANT PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR
HER DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE ALL GRANT DOCUMENTS, AND ACCEPT AND
ADMINISTER THE GRANT
WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa desires to participate in the Organized Retail
Theft Prevention Grant Program funded through the State Budget Act and administered
by the Board of State and Community Corrections (hereafter referred to as the BSCC).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chief of Police be authorized on
behalf of the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa to submit the grant proposal for this
funding and sign the Grant Agreement with the BSCC, including any amendments
thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be
used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa
agrees to abide by the terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement as set forth by the
BSCC.
