AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA
CHANGING THE ZONING OF A PORTION OF LOT A, BANNING TRACT,
FROM C1 TO C1 -CP.
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. All that portion of the following described real property is hereby
placed and included in the C1 -CP Zone, to wit:
All that real property being a portion of Lot "A" of the Banning Tract,
in the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, as shown on a map of said tract
filed in Action No. 6385 in the'Superior Court of the State of California,
in and for the County of Los Angeles, being an Action for partition entitled
Hancock Banning, et al, Vs. Mary H. Banning in the City of Costa Mesa, Orange
County, California, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point accepted as being the southwesterly corner of
Tract No. 5617, per map thereof, recorded in Book 202, pages 35-36 inclusive
of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, point also lying on the
northerly line of Tract No. 5160, per map thereof, recorded in Book 181,
pages 40-42 inclusive, records of said Orange County; thence West, along
the northerly line of said Tract 5160, a distance of 307.35 feet to an
intersection with the easterly right of way line of Fairview Road, formerly
known as Old Santa Ana Road, 100.00 feet in width, as described in a deed to
the County of Orange, recorded in Book 1917, page 86 of Official Records of
Orange County; thence northerly along the easterly right of way line of
said Fairview Road, a distance of 363.16 feet to a point 210.00 feet south
of the center line of Fair Drive, 100.00 feet in width, as described in a
deed to the County of Orange, recorded in Book 2050, page 59 of Official
Records of Orange County; thence East along a line parallel to the center
line of said Fair Drive, a distance of 160.00 feet; thence southerly and
parallel to the center line of said Fairview Road, a distance of 30.14 feet;
thence East along a line parallel to the center line of said Fair Drive, a
distance of 147.35 feet to a point accepted as being the northwesterly corner
of said Tract 5617; thence South along the westerly line of said Tract 5617,
a distance of 333.00 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 9230.4 of the Municipal Code
of the City of Costa Mesa, District Map D-5 is hereby amended by the addition thereto
of the C1 -CP area described in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force thirty (30)
days from and after its passage, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from
the passage thereof shall be published once in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper
of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, together with
the names of the members of the City Council voting for and against the same.
