A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING THE
EVENT ROUTE AND STREET CLOSURES FOR THE
2010 ORANGE COUNTY MARATHON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, because of the impact that special events have on city streets
and traffic when a full or partial street closure is required for such a special event, the
City Council of the City of Costa Mesa finds that it is crucial that any such routes be
thoroughly reviewed and analyzed to enable careful planning of such special events
in order to minimize impacts to the general public where such street closures are
permitted; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 9-208.9, Event Routes, the City
Council does hereby establish the following route and necessary full and partial
street closures for the 2010 Orange County Marathon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF COSTA MESA that the 2010 Orange County Marathon event route is hereby
established as shown by the map attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and the list of affected
streets as listed on. .Exhibit "B." Exhibits "A" and "B" are attached hereto and
incorporated herein by this reference.
