ORDINANCE NO. (0 9—I
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA
ESTABLISHING BOULEVARD STOPS ON WEST SEVENTEENTH STREET AT
POMONA AVENUE, AND PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMITS ON ESTANCIA DRIVE
AND ROYAL PALM DRIVE
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 3416.4 of the Municipal Code, entitled "Through Streets
Designated", is hereby amended by changing the designation of Pomona Avenue to read:
"POMONA, AVENUE, from the northerly line of 16th Street
to the southerly line of Wilson Street, EXCLUDING 18th
Street, 19th Street and Victoria Street intersections,
and EXCEPTING that north and southbound traffic shall
stop at Hamilton Street";
and changing the designation of 17th Street, West, to read:
"SEVENTEENTH STREET, WEST, from the westerly line of
Superior Avenue to the easterly line of Whittier Avenue,
EXCLUDING, Pomona, Placentia and Monrovia Avenue
intersections".
SECTION 2. Section 3416.0 of the Municipal Code is hereby amended by the
addition of the following paragraph:
"ROYAL PALM DRIVE, from Adams Avenue to Baker Street 35. MPH".
SECTION 3. Section 3416.1 of the Municipal Code is hereby amended by
changing the reference to Estancia Drive to read:
"ESTANCIA DRIVE, from Estancia High School to Adams Avenue
40 MPH".
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force thirty
(30) days from and after its passage, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15)
days from the passage thereof shall be published once in the ORANGE COAST DAILY
PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of
Costa Mesa, together with the names of the members of the City Council voting for
and against the same. T
