2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA
MESA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
3 UNINHABITED TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF COSTA
MESA IN THE COUNTY OF ORANGE, KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS
4 "COUNTRY CLUB NO. 2".
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA„ DOES
6 HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
7 SECTION 1. That the annexation to the City of Costa Mesa,
8 County of Orange, State of California, of that certain uninhabite
9 territory, contiguous to said City, is hereby approved and the
10 said territory is hereby ordained to be annexed to and made a
11 part of the city of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of
12 California; that said territory, known and designated as
13 "Country Club No. 2", is particularly described as follows:
14 A parcel of land lying within Lot 3, Tract No. 456,
15 recorded in book 17, page 9 of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of Orange County, California and a portion of
16 Lot 142, Block 6 and Lot 149, Block 5 of Irvine's Sub-
division as shown on a map thereof, recorded in book 1,
17 page 88 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange
County, State of California, more particularly described
as follows:

19 Beginning at an angle point in the existing boundary of
the City of Costa Mesa, as said boundary is described in
the Paularino No. 12 Annexation to said City, Ordinance
20 No. 66-55, adopted January 3, 1967, said angle point being
the intersection of the centerline of Red Hill Avenue,
21 100 feet in width, as granted to the County of Orange,
22 by deed, recorded in book 7148, page 205 of Official
Records with the centerline of Palisades Road, 60 feet
23 in width, as granted to said Orange County, by deed,
recorded in book 294, page 272 of Book of Deeds; thence
24 departing from said existing boundaries, South 400 37' 52"
West, along the centerline of Santa Ana Avenue as shown
25 on a Orange County Flood Control District Right of Way
Map, Drawing No. F01-2, a distance of 462.13 feet, to the
26 northeasterly right of way line of the Santa Ana -Delhi
Channel, as shown on said drawing; thence continuing along
the northeasterly right of way line of said Santa Ana -Delhi
27 Channel, North 390 29' 38" West, 898.31 feet, to the
28 beginning of a tangent curve, concave northeasterly, having
a radius of 100.00 feet; thence northwesterly and northerly
29 along said curve through a central angle of 530 17' 00", an
arc distance of 93.00 feet; thence departing from said
30 right of way line North 760 12' 38" West, 105.00 feet, to tl
westerly right of way line of said Santa Ana -Delhi Channel,
31 as said right of way line is described in a deed to the
Orange County Flood Control District, recorded March 28, 19(
in book 5166, page 135 of Official Records of said Orange
32 County; thence South 130 47' 22' West, along said westerly

right of way line, 68.48 feet, to the southwesterly line
of Lot 3 of previously mentioned Tract No. 456; thence
North 330 37' 46" West, along said southwesterly line,
536.07 feet, to a point, said point being South 330 37' 46"
East, along said southwestely line, 805.14 feet, from the
most westerly corner of Lot 3 of said Tract No. 456; thence
departing from said southwesterly line, North 400 38' 09"
East, parallel with the northwesterly line of said Lot 3,
373.22 feet, to the centerline of Palisades Road, 80 feet
in width, as granted to :aid County of Orange, by deed,
recorded in book 2352, pages 389 and 393, inclusive, of
Official Records, said centerline being the existing
boundary of the previously mentioned Paularino No. 12
Annexation to the City of Costa Mesa; thence South 410 53'
East, along said centerline and said existing boundary,
1060.06 feet, to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave
northeasterly, having a radius of 2000.00 feet; thence
southeasterly along said curve through a central angle of
70 28' 30" an arc distance of 260.93 feet; thence South
490 21' 56" East, 224.39 feet, to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. That the boundary of the City of Costa Mesa,
County of Orange, State of California, be, and the same is hereby
altered to include the above described territory into the City of
Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California.
SECTION 3. That the proceedings for annexation herein
ordained are had and taken under the provisions of the act of the
Legislature of the State of California designated and referred to
as the "Annexation of uninhabited Territory Act of 19391-.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force thirty (30) days from and after its passage, and prior to
the expiration of fifteen (15) days from its passage shall be
published once in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of
general circulation, printed and published in the City of Costa
Mesa, together with the names of the members of the City Council
voting for and against the same. �7
