HomeMy WebLinkAbout63-40 Off-Street Parking Requirmentsfollows: ORDINANCE NO. 63-4o AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA AMENDING THE COSTA MESA RESIDENTIAL OFF-STREET PARKING REQUIREMENTS AND REQUIRING GARAGE OR GARAGES. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, does ordain as SECTION 1. Section 9350.1 of the Municipal Code of the City of Costa Mesa, is hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 9350.1 OFF-STREET PARKING -- GARAGES. When a building site is used exclusively for residential purposes, each living unit constructed upon the site shall provide two off- street parking spaces, one of which shall be in the form of an enclosed garage which shall be a minimum of nine (9) feet in width and twenty (20) feet in length, inside measurement; except that in R-1 and R -1-E zones, each living unit constructed upon the site shall provide off-street parking in the form of a garage or garages which shall be a minimum of twenty (20) feet in length and twenty (20) feet in width, inside measurement." SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force thirty (30) days from and after its passage, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from its passage shall be published once in the Orange Coast Daily Pilot, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, together with the names of the members of the City Council voting for and against the same.
