HomeMy WebLinkAbout63-54 Annexation of Woodland #1ORDINANCE N0. 43.E AN ORDINANCE OF TOE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA APPROVING THE AMMUTION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF COSTA MESA IN THE COUNTY OF ORANGE, KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS "WOODLAND NO. 1 ANNEXATION.• The City Council of the City of Costa Nesa does hereby ordain as follows; SECTION 1. That the annexation to the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California, of that certain uninhabited territory, contiguous to said City, is hereby approved and the said territory is hereby ordained to be annexed to and made a part of the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California; that said territory, known and designated as "WOODLAND N0. 1 LNM UTION," is particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the northeasterly line of 20th Street, 60 feet in width, as sham on a sap of Newport Heights, recorded in Book 4, page 82 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California and the exist - Ing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, as described in the official description of the original boundary line of the City of Costa Mae& in a Resolution of the Board of Supervisors, Orange County, California, dated June 25, 1953, filed and accepted by the Secretary of State, State o$ California, June 29, 1953, said point being distant thereon South 50 East, 538.00 feet from the center line of Santa Ana Avenue; thence departing from said existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa. North 40 East, 300.15 fget to the northeasterly line of Lot 215 of Newport Heights; thence South 50 East, along the northeasterly line of said Lot 215 and the north- eaeterly line of Lot 216 of said Newport Heights, 276.00 feet; thence South 40 West, 300.15 feet to a point in the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa as said boundary is described in the official description of the original boundary line of the City of Costa Mesa in a Resolution of the Hoard of Supervisors, Orange County, California, dated June 25, 196, filed and accepted by the Secretary of State, State of California, June 29, 1953, said point also being on a line 30.00 feet northeasterly of, and parallel with the center line of said 20th Street; thence North 50 West, along the last mentioned parallel line, 276.00 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. That the boundary of the City of Costa Nesa, County of Orange. State of California, be, and the same is hereby altered to include the above described territory into the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange. State of California. SECTION 3. That the proceedings for annexation herein ordained are had and taken under the provisions of the act of the Legislature of the State of California designated and referred to as the "Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939." SECTION 4.
