Home My WebLink About65-38 Linda No. 1 AnnexationORDINANCE NO. 4-4— -7 e AN ORDINWICS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA APPROVING THE ANNKKATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF COSTA MESA IN THE COUNTY OF ORANGE, KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS "LINDA NO. 1 ANN'EXATION." The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby ordain as follows: SECTION 1. That the annexation to the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California, of that certain uninhabited territory, contiguous to said City, is hereby approved and the said territory is hereby ordained to be annexed to and made a part of the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California; that said territory, known and designated as "LINDA NO. 1 ANNEXATION," is particularly described as follows: That portion of Lot 102, Tract No. 300, as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 14, pages 1' and 12 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa as said boundary is described in the official description of the original boundary of the City of Costa Lesa, California, in a resolution of the Board of Super- visors of Orange County, California, dated June 25,1953, filed and accepted by the Secretary of State, State of California, June 29, 1953, said point being the intersection of the southeasterly line of Santa Ana Avenue, 60 feet in width, as shown on said Tract No. 300, with the northeasterly line of Lot 102 of said Tract No. 300; thence departing from said existing boundary, South 50° li' 45" East, along said northeasterly line, 630.00 feet to the easterly corner of Lot 102 of said Tract No. 300; thence South 300 48' 45" West along the southeasterly line of Lot 102 of said Tract Yo. 300, a distance of 630.00 feet to the northeasterly line of 23rd Street, 60 feet in width, as shown on said Tract No. 300; thence North 50° 11' 45" West, alone said northeasterly line of said 23rd Street, 347.10 feet, more or less, to an angle point in the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa as said boundary is described in the Waterman No. 1 Annexation, Ordinance No. 62-26, adopted July 2, 1962; thence Porth 50° 11' 45" West, continuing along said north- easterly line of said 23rd Street and said existing boundary, 132.90 feet, more or less, to an angle point in said existing boundary; thence departing from said northeasterly line of said 23rd Street, North 390 48' 45r' East, along said existing boundary, 100.00 feet; thence Borth 500 il' 4g West, 150.00 feet to the southeasterly line of previously mentioned Santa Ana Avenue; thence North 390 4E' 457: East, along said southeasterly line of said Santa Ana Avenue and the existing boundary as described in the previously mentioned original boundary, 530.00 feet to the point of beginning. SECT -CN 2. That the boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California, be, and the same is hereby altered to include the above described territory into the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California. SECTION 9. That the proceedings for annexation herein ordained are had and taken under the provisions of the act of the Leeislature of the State of California designated and referred to as the "Annexation of Uninhabited Territony Act of 1939". SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force thirty (30) days from and after its passage and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from its passage shall be published once in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, together with the names of the members of the City Council voting for and against the same.
