HomeMy WebLinkAbout62-03 Designating one-way AlleysORDINANCE NO. 62-3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DESIGNATING THAT CERTAIN ALLEY LYING WESTERLY OF LOT 12 OF TRACT NO. 325 AS A ONE-WAY ALLEY AND AMENDING SECTION 3463 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 3417 of the Municipal Code of the City of Costa Mesa, Section 3463 of said Municipal Code is hereby amended by the addition thereto of the following: "The southerly 183 feet of the alley westerly of Lot 12 of Tract No. 325, measured from the northerly line of 19th Street, 80 feet wide. Northbound.-- SECTION orthbound." SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force immediately after the date of its adoption. The facts constituting the urgency are as follows: The herein described alley carries traffic to and from the parking lot of the Bank of America, and opens upon 19th Street, a major traffic artery. Left turn channels are now being installed in 19th Street near this intersection, and the relief of traffic congestion requires that the above-described portion of said alley be re- stricted to one-way traffic. SECTION 3. Prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from and after the date of its adoption, this Ordinance shall be published once in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, together with the names of the members of the City Council voting for and against the same.
