L.2 -.S AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF COSTA MESA IN THE. COUNTY OF. ORANGE, KNOWN AND DESIGNATED. AS "PAULARINO NO. 5 ANNEXATION% The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby ordain as follows: SECTION I. That the annexation to the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California, of that certain uninhabited territory, contiguous to said City, is hereby approved and the said territory is hereby ordained to be annexed to and made a part of the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California; that said territory, known and designated as "PAULARINO NO. 5 ANNEXATION", is particularly described as follows: Beginning at an angle point in the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa as said existing boundary is described in the Paularino No. 3 Annexation to the City of Costa Mesa, California, Ordinance No. 325, adopted October 17, 1960, said point being the intersection of the westerly line of Lot 5. Block D. Berry Tract, said westerly line being the centerline of a four.(4) rod road, as shown on a map thereof, re- corded in Book 9. page 6 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, with a line 828.00 feet southerly of and parallel to the north line of said Block D, Berry Tract; thence South 890 37" 57" Easts along said parallel line and said existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, 528.00 feet to the easterly line of said Lot 50 said easterly line of Lot 5 being the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa as described in the Paularino No. 1 Annexation to the City of Costa Mesa, California, Ordinance No. 283, adopted January 11, 1960 and the westerly line of Tract No. 4041 as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 138, pages 27, 28 and 29 of Mis$ellansous Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence South 0 29" 07" West, along said easterly line of Lot 5. said westerly line of Tract.No. 4041 and .the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa and the southerly prolongation thereof, 860.59 feet, to the southerly line of Paularino Avenue, 66 feet in width, as shown on said map of Tract No. 4041; thence daps ing from the ex.. isting boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, North 8949" 35" West, along said southerly line of Paularino Avenue, 528.02 feet, to the southerly pro- longation of said westerly line of Lot 5, thence North 00 29" 05" East, along the southerly prolongation of. the westerly line of said Lot 5 and the westerly line of said Lot 5, 862.17 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION II That the boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California, be, and the same is hereby, altered to include the above described territory into the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California. SECTION III That the proceedings for annexation herein ordained are had and taken under the provisions of an act of the Legislature of the State of California designated and referred to as the "Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939". SECTION IV This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force thirty (30) days from and after its passage and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from its passage shall be published once in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, together with the names of the members of the City Council voting for and against the same.
