Home My WebLink About62-19 Approval of Monte Vista No. 1 AnnexationORDINANCE NO. 62-19 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF COSTA MESA IN THE COUNTY OF ORANGE, KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS "MONTE VISTA NO. 1 ANNEXATION". The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby ordain as follows: SECTION 1. That the annexation to the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California, of that certain uninhabited territory, contiguous to said City, Is hereby approved and the said territory is hereby ordained to be annexed to and made a part of the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California; that said territory, known and designated as "MONTE VISTA NO. 1 ANNEXATION" is particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point, said point being the intersection of the centerline of Santa Ana Avenue, 60 feet in width, with the centerline of Santa Isabel Avenue, 50 feet in width, as shown on a map of Tract No. 300, recorded in Book 14, pages 11 and 12 of Miscellaneous Record Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence South 500 11' 45" East, along said centerline of Santa Isabel Avenue 30.00 feet, to its intersection with the south- westerly prolongation of the southeasterly line of said Santa Ana Avenue, said southeasterly line of Santa Ana Avenue being the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa as said boundary is described in the Official Description of the Original Boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, adopted by resolution of the Board of Supervisors of Orange County, California, dated June 25, 1953, filed and accepted by the Secretary of State, State of California, June 29, 1953, said intersection being the true point of beginning of the land herein described; thence North 390 48' 45" East, along said southwesterly prolongation of the southeasterly line of Santa Ana Avenue, the southeasterly line of Santa Ana Avenue and said existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, 900.00 feet; thence departing from said existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa South 500 11' 45" East, 300.00 feet; thence North 390 48' 45" East, 1080.00 feet to the north- easterly line of Lot 123 of said Tract No. 300; thence South 500 11' 45" East, along said northeasterly line of Lot 123, 330.00 feet, to the north- westerly line of Lot 124 of said Tract No. 300; thence South 390 48' 45" West, along said northwesterly line of Lot 124, 157.50 feet; thence South 500 11' 45" East, 630.00 feet, to a line 30.00 feet northwesterly of, measured at right angles, and parallel to the southeasterly line of said Lot 124, Tract No. 300; thence South 390 48' 45" West, along last mentioned parallel line, 667.50 feet; thence North 500 11' 45" West, 234.00 feet; thence South 390 48' 45" West, 165.00 feet; thence North 500 11' 45' West, 66.00 feet; thence South 390 48' 45" West, 330.00 feet, to the southwesterly line of said Lot 115, Tract No. 300; thence South 500 11' 45" East, along the southwesterly line of said Lot 115, 300.00 feet, to a line 30.00 feet northwesterly of, measured at right angles and parallel to the southeasterly line of Lot 114 of said Tract No. 300; thence South 390 48' 45" West, along last mentioned parallel line, 685.00 feet, to the northeasterly line of lot 105 of said Tract No. 300; thence North 500 11' 45" West, along said northeasterly line of Lot 105, 574.85 feet, to the southeasterly line of Tract No. 3062 as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 92, page 20 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence South 230 51' 50" West, 5.20 feet along said southeasterly line to the most easterly corner of Lot 1 of said Tract No. 3062; thence North 500 11' 45" West, along the southwesterly line of Santa Isabel Avenue, 55.00 feet in width, as shown on said map of Tract No. 3062, 446.57 feet; thence North 390 48' 45" East, 5.00 feet; thence North 500 11'45" West, 300.00 feet, to the southwesterly prolongation of the southeasterly line of Santa Ana Avenue and the existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa; thence North 390 48' 45" East, along the southwesterly prolongation of the southeasterly line of Santa Ana Avenue, the southeasterly line of Santa Ana Avenue and said existing boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, 25.00 feet, to the true point of beginning. SECTION 2. That the boundary of the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California, be, and the same is hereby, altered to include the above described territory into the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California. SECTION 3. That the proceedings for annexation herein ordained are had and taken under the provisions of the act of the Legislature of the State of California designated and referred to as the "Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939". SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force thirty (30) days from and after its passage and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from its passage shall be published once in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, together with the names of the members of the City Council voting for and against the same.
