HomeMy WebLinkAbout70-36 - Corridor No. 1 Annexation to Park and Recreation DistrictORDINANCE NO. 70-36 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ACTING AS THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA PARK AND RECREATION DISTRICT, APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF COSTA MESA IN THE COUNTY OF ORANGE, KNOWN AS CORRIDOR NO. 1 ANNEXATION. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, ACTING AS THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA PARK AND RECREATION DISTRICT, DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the annexation of the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District, County of Orange, State of California, of that certain uninhabited territory, contiguous to said City of Costa Mesa, is hereby approved and the said territory is hereby ordained to be annexed to and made a part of the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District; that said territory, known as Corridor No. 1, is particularly described in a map, and in a legal description attached hereto marked Exhibit A and by this reference made a part hereof. SECTION 2. That the proceedings for annexation herein ordained are had and taken under the provisions of the Act of the Legislature of the State of California designated and referred to as the "Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939". SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force thirty (30) days from and after its passage, shall be prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from its passage published once in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, together with the names of the members of the Board of Directors voting for and against the same.
