HomeMy WebLinkAbout71-31 - Zone Exception Applications in Industrial ZonesORDINANCE NO. 71-31 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, AMENDING SECTION 9299.14, COSTA MESA MUNICIPAL CODE, PROVIDING FOR THE APPLICATION OF ZONE EXCEPTION PERMITS TO INDUSTRIAL ZONES WITH- IN THE CITY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Sec. 9299.14, Costa Mesa Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 9299.14 Exception - Industrial Zones Provisions for Zone Exception Permits are applicable to off-street parking and to all zones within the Land Use Ordinance except in the Industrial Zones and then only as authorized from time to time, by resolutions duly adopted by the City Council. Zone Exception Permits will be authorized in Industrial Zones, only where said Zone Exception Permit does not authorize a use reserved to another zone. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force thirty (30) days from and after its passage, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from its passage shall be published once in the Orange Coast Daily Pilot, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, together with the names of the members of the City Council voting for and against the same.
