A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING "IKEA
WAY" STREET NAME FOR THE WEST LEG OF 1-405
FREEWAY OFFRAMP INTERSECTION AT SUSAN
STREET
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, there was no formal designated street name for the west leg of
the 1-405 Freeway offramp intersection at Susan Street; and
WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa received requests for "IKEA Way" street
name sign for the west leg of the 1-405 Freeway offramp intersection at Susan Street
from adjacent property owners; and
WHEREAS, the 1-405 Freeway offramp/Susan Street intersection is within the
State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2D.34 of the California Manual of
Uniform Traffic Control Devices and Caltrans requirements, a City Council resolution
authorizing the name designation is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF COSTA MESA that the west leg of the 1-405 Freeway offramp at Susan Street be
designated as "IKEA Way."
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of February, 2010.
