In accordance with Costa Mesa Municipal Code, Sec. 2-64 (1): No person in the audience shall
"engage in disorderly, disruptive, disturbing, delaying or boisterous conduct including but not
limited to, handclapping, stomping of feet, whistling, making noise, use of profane language or
obscene gestures, yelling or similar demonstrations, which may disrupt the peace and good order
of the Council proceedings."
2. All cell phones and pagers are to be turned off or set to vibrate. Members of the audience are
requested to step outside the Council Chambers to respond to a page or to conduct a phone
conversation.
3. In accordance with City Council Policy 000-11, and among other requirements, any video
submitted for display at a public meeting must have been previously reviewed by staff to verify
appropriateness for general audiences. A copy of this policy is available at City Hall during
normal office hours.
4. Please use the podiums on either side of the dais to speak to the City Council. Direct all verbal
communications, requests, and/or questions to the Mayor.

5. Any written communications, pictures, etc., to be provided to the Council should be directed to the
City Clerk. Any exhibits to be displayed on the overhead screen may be given to the appropriate

PUBLIC COMMENTS: To ensure fair and equal treatment of all who appear before the City

routine and will be acted upon in one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these
items unless members of the City Council, staff, or the public request specific items to be
discussed and/or removed from the Consent Calendar for discussion. Items removed from the
Consent Calendar will be discussed and voted upon immediately following City Council action
on the remainder of the Consent Calendar.
Members of the public who wish to discuss Consent Calendar items should come forward to

South Lewis Street, Anaheim.

12. Completion of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Title 24 Cool Roof

Recommendation: Accept work; authorize City Clerk to file a Notice of
Completion; release retention monies 35 days thereafter; exonerate the
Labor and Material Bond seven (7) months thereafter; and exonerate the

amount of $169,305 (Base Bid only).

UPCOMING COMMUNITY EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES
JUNE 2011
Barrett -Jackson opened its Orange County event with a Road Rally on Saturday, June
18th starting at South Coast Plaza and ending at the Orange County Fair & Event
Center.
Friday, June 24 to Sunday, June 26th the Barrett -Jackson Collector -Car Auction will be
held at the Orange County Fair and Event Center. For further information visit the

On Saturday, June 25th at 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 26th, Costa Mesa
Emergency Service Amateur Communications invites everyone to join the fun of Field
Day 2011 at Goat Hill Junction Train Station across from Fairview Park. Ham Radio
Operators will be on hand to show you how communicate with other operators
worldwide. For further information call 714-754-4848.
Thursday, June 30th at 7:00 p.m. the City will open the Joann Street Bike Trail. This
project included the removal and replacement of fencing along the south side of the
Joann Street bike trail; extensive new landscape and irrigation system, trash
receptacles, benches, and construction of a new colored concrete bike trail. This $1.3
million project was paid for by CDBG, Park Development, AQMD, Gas Tax and TEA
funds.
■ The City's Ordinance as it relates to the sale and use of fireworks has changed for this
4th of July. The new ordinance allows for the sale of fireworks from June 30th to 9:00
p.m. on July 4th and the use of fireworks from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. from July 2nd
through the 4th
The City's first Concert in the Park for 2011 will take place on Tuesday, July 5th at 5:30
in Fairview Park featuring The Peggy Nelson Project.
