HomeMy WebLinkAbout- CC-8 - Resolution No.12- - 3/6/2012RESOLUTION NO. 12- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OR HIS DESIGNESS TO EXECUTE A SUB -RECIPIENT AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ENTITLED, AGREEMENT FOR TRANSFER OR PURCHASE EQUIPMENT/SERVICES OR FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF TRAINING COSTS FOR THE FY 2011 URBAN AREAS SECURITY INITIATIVE (UASI). THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has made funds available through the FY 2011 Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI) to provide resources for equipment, training, planning, and exercise needs of select high threat urban areas; and WHEREAS, the city of Costa Mesa wishes to participate in the FY 2011 Urban Areas Security Initiative; and WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa has been awarded up to $68,980 in training reimbursement funds for FY 2011; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, the City Council of Costa Mesa hereby authorizes the Chief Executive Officer or his designees to execute a sub - recipient agreement with the City of Santa Ana entitled: Agreement For Transfer or Purchase of Equipment/Services or For Reimbursement of Training Cost for FY 2011 Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI); for a grant under the UASI program.
