Amount Requested: $27,000 for salary costs of salesperson that secures paid work for the work services program and program staff. CM Residents to be Assisted: 37 3R Recommendation: $7,000 Proiect Independence — Employment For All Program Proposed Service: Employee training program to assist enhance skills in order to develop jobs for developmentally disabled individuals. Amount Requested: $20,000 for staff training and related training costs. CM Residents to be Assisted: 58 3R Recommendation: $0 HOMELESS SERVICES Citv of Costa Mesa — HCD Homeless Outreach Proeram Proposed Service: Direct engagement of chronic CM homeless; carry out needs assessment and provide linkages to appropriate housing and support services. Amount Requested: $35,000 for contract program staff. CM Residents to be Assisted: 60 3R Recommendation: $35,000 (based on Homeless Task Force recommendation) Colette's Children's Home — Transitional Housing Program Proposed Service: Program will provide housing and supportive services for homeless women and children. Amount Requested: $35,000 for program staff and related program/admin costs. Amount Requested: $40,000 for program and admin staff salaries. Funds will also be used for housing placement services. CM Residents to be Assisted: 32 313 Recommendation: $10,000 SENIOR SERVICES Alzheimer's Familv Services Center —Adult Davcare Program Proposed Service: Program will provide adult daycare services for persons with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. Support services for caregivers are also provided. Amount Requested: $10,000 for program staff salaries. CM Residents to be Assisted: 22 3R Recommendation: $7,500 Communitv Senior Serve - Congregate Meals Proposed Service: The program provides seniors with hot lunch 5 days per week at the Costa Mesa Senior Center. Amount Requested: $20,000 for raw food cost. CM Residents to be Assisted: 350 3R Recommendation: $12,500 Communitv Senior Serve - Home Meal Deliver Proposed Service: This meals on wheels program will provide food and quick assessment for homebound seniors to ensure health and safety. Amount Requested: $25,000 for raw food cost. CM Residents to be Assisted: 100 313 Recommendation: $15,000 Costa Mesa Senior Corp — Social Services Proposed Service: Counseling and referral services for seniors provided by social worker at the Costa Mesa Senior Center. Amount Requested: $21,000 for admin and program staff salaries. CM Residents to be Assisted: 175 3R Recommendation: $7,500 Youth Employment Services (YES) — Walk In Services for Youth Proposed Program: Program provides pre-employment and mock interview skills training, job counseling, and employment referrals. Amount Requested: $23,590 for program staff salaries. CM Residents to be Assisted: 600 313 Recommendation: $19,000 LOW/MODERATE-INCOME SERVICES Citv of Costa Mesa — HCD Laree Item Disaosal (LID) Program Proposed Service: Program will place large trash bins in target residential areas that will be accessible to CM residents in order to dispose of large trash items. Amount Requested: $12,300 for program staff salaries, program marketing and trash bin rental. CM Residents to be Assisted: 13,279 3R Recommendation: $0 Mercv House — Homelessness Prevention Proeram Proposed Service: Program will provide rental assistance to qualified households to prevent the loss of housing. Amount Requested: $40,000 for program staff salaries, related program/admin costs and direct financial assistance.
