RE: Letter of Intent to Withdraw Contractor Bid
Dear Ms. Fazeli,
By this letter, Mike Prlich and Sons, Inc. respectfully requests to withdraw our bid
proposal submitted April 28, 2014 due to a clerical error. Unfortunately we've uncovered
a discrepancy of $167,812 with the reinforced concrete box construction (Bid Item No.
3). MPS is a qualified general engineering contractor who's completed several projects
of this size and scope in the recent past, and we are terribly apologetic that this
happened while organizing our proposal to the City of Costa Mesa. Furthermore, we
hope this error will not cast a shadow of doubt on our ability to bid and construct this
type of work for future Costa Mesa projects (MPS has successfully completed several
projects within the City itself without difficulty). Upon your request, we will gladly provide
our bid breakdown worksheets. Feel free to contact me by office or cell to discuss this
