AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA APPROVING THE ANXIIATION OF
CiRTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS TO THE CIT? OF COSTA DESA„ IN
THE COUNTY OF ORANGE, ZKOWN AS WKESA ANNEIATION NO. 20*

1913, a special olection was hold on the .11th day of Odtobo r, 1956, in the
aertalm inhabited territory oentiguous to tete City of Costs Mesa known and
designated as IlMeea Annexation leo. 2" far the purpose of submitting to the
qualified electors residing in said territory the question whether or not
said territory should be annexed to the City of Costa Mesa; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mona did, at a regular meet
ing thereof, canvasr the returns of said election in accordance with the pro.•
visions of the Election Code and the said Abnenation Act of 1913, and did find
and determine the results of said election to be as follews:

That the annexation to the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State
of California, of that certain inhabited territory known as "Mdsa Annexation
No. 2p, having been approved by a majority of the voters toting at a "tial
election called and held therefor, is hereby approved by the City Council of
the City of Costa Mesa and the said territory is hereby ordained to be annexed
to and made a pmt of the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of Calif.

said point being the Southeasterly corner of Lot 812, Newport
Mesa Tract, as shown an a map thereof, rearrded in Xiseollan-

SECTION III
That the proceedings for annexation herein ordained are had and
taken under and purs-ant to the provisions of an act of the Legislature of the
State of California designated and referred to as the Ame:eatiOn Act of 1113.

SECTION IV
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days
from and after its passage, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days
from its passage shall be published once in the Costa Mesa Globe -Herald, a
newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Costa
Mesa, together with the names of the ambers of the City Council voting for
and against the sameo
