A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, TO APPOINT A COUNCIL
MEMBER TO FILL A VACANCY ON THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF COSTA MESA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, on June 15, 1991, the official resignation of Council Member
Edward Glasgow became effective;
WHEREAS, California Government Code Section 36512 provides that City
Council has the authority, within thirty (30) days from the commencement of
the vacancy, to either fill the vacancy by appointment or call a special
election to fill the vacancy; and
WHEREAS, City Council finds it is in the best interests of the City of
Costa Mesa to fill the vacancy by appointment for the unexpired term of the
former incumbent.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Costa Mesa does hereby appoint JOSEPH ERICKSON, a citizen of the City of
Costa Mesa, to fill the vacancy of Council Member on the City Council of
the City of Costa Mesa for the unexpired term of the former incumbent.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of July,
