HomeMy WebLinkAbout724 - Urging Citizen Participation in Municipal ElectionRESOLUTION NO. 724 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA URGING CITIZEN PARTICIPATION IN THE GENERAL MUNI- CIPAL AND HIGH SCHOOL BOND ELECTIONS TO BE HELD ON APRIL 12, 1960. WHEREAS, on April 12, 1960, three Council seats, constituting a majority of the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, and two propositions, are to be elected; and WHEREAS, the Newport Harbor Union High School District, comprising the Costa Mesa - Newport Beach areas, is holding a bond election on said City election date for the construction of a third high school; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa deems it of vital interest to the City of Costa Mesa and its citizens that the community express itself fully on these important matters; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does here- by urge that all the voters of the City of Costa Mesa inform themselves of the City Council election and the proposed bond issue for the construction of a new high school, and exercise their voting rights on April 12, 1960.
