That the City Clerk of said City is hereby authorized inst- ructed and directed to procure and furnish any and all official ballots, notices, Printed matter and all suppl'es, so, inr^ent and paraphernalia that may be necessary in order to prorerly and lawfTlly conduct said election. That all of the persons hereinabove named as election officers are hereby appointed as such election officers, respectively, and their compensat- ion is hereby fixed at the sum of 112.00 for each Inspector, and ;;10.00 for each Judge and Clerk, for said election. The rental for each of such polling places, where a charge is made, shall be the sum. of ^;10.00 for said election. SECTTON 6. That the polls for said election shall be open at seven o'clock A'., of the day of said election, and shall remain open continuously from saidtime until seven o'clock P:'., of the same day, when said polls shall be closed, extent as provided in Sections 5736 and 5735 of the Elections Code of the State of California. SEOTrn^` 7. That in all particulars not recited in this resolution, said election shall be held and cond•cted as provided by law for holding runic -pal el- ecti.ens in said City. Sip" '11T 8. That notice of the time and place of holding said election is hereby given and the City Clerk is heieby authorized, instructed and directed to give such further or additional notice of said election in time, form, and manner as red ired by law. Not later than forty (40) days prior to election, the City Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to pTblish a notice of election officers and polling olaees, as ren -ired by Section 0754.1 of the Election Code. r 298 SKT'071 10. That the City Clerk shall publish the list of names of the noninees in t'e order in which they arrear on the ballot, and the respect- ive affi.ces for which they have been nominated, at least twice before the day of election, in one or ¢ore daily or weekly papers piblished in the City, as provided in Section o75� of the Flection Code. SKTT01 11. That the City Clerk of said City is hereby authorized, instructed and directed to give notice of said election in the time, form and manner as req r ired by law and shall case to be printed, on plain white paper, without watermarks, at least as rant copies of the form of ballot provided and used in each voting precinct as there are voters in the precinct. Such conies shall be designated as "Sample Ballot" upon their face. Said City Clerk shall commence to mail one Sample Ballot, postage prepaid, to each voter not more than forty QLO) nor less than fifteen (15) days before said 10th day of April, 1056. The mailing of said Fample Ballots shall be completed at least ten (10) whole dans before said day of election. The number of such Sample Rallots printed shall not exceed the total reois'txation by more than fifteen per cent (15"). Fail Cit,, Clerk shall also enclose in the envelope with each of the ballots, a care' statin, the location of the precinct's polling place of each voter.
