A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA
MESA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE CONSOLIDATED SPECIAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS HELD IN SAID CITY ON SEPTEMBER 11,
1973.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does
hereby find, determine, and declare as follows:
(a) That pursuant to applicable law, consolidated special
municipal elections were held and conducted in said City on the
11th day of September, 1973; and
(b) That said elections were held and conducted in
conformity with all applicable provisions of law; and
(c) That said elections were held for the purpose of sub-
mitting to the qualified voters of the City the following Bond
Propositions; to wit:
(1) Shall the City of Costa Mesa incur a bonded
indebtedness in the principal sum of $2,602,000.00 for
the acquisition of land for park sites and/or open space
purposes, and all expenses incidental to or connected
with the authorization, issuance and sale of the bonds?
(2) Shall the City of Costa Mesa incur a bonded
indebtedness in the principal sum of $1,308,000.00 for
the acquisition, construction and completion of park
improvements and public recreational facilities in-
cluding structures, landscaping, equipment, furnishings,
and other property necessary or convenient for any of
the foregoing, and all expenses incidental to or con-
nected with the authorization, issuance and sale of the
bonds?
(d) That pursuant to direction of the City Council, the City
Clerk of said City has heretofore conducted a canvass of the
results thereof, and has filed with the City Council a certificate
relating thereto, which has been examined and is hereby accepted
by this City Council.
SECTION 2. That the statement of election results, relating to said
consolidated special municipal elections is as attached hereto, marked
Exhibit "A" and by this reference incorporated herein.
SECTION 3. That the City Council does hereby accept the canvass of
returns of said elections, as certified by the City Clerk, and the canvass
by the canvassing boards, as to absentee ballots, and does hereby declare
as follows:
(a) That the votes of more than two-thirds of all the voters
voting at said election upon said Bond Proposition "A" were cast in
favor of the adoption of said bond proposition, and said bond
proposition is hereby declared to be carried, and this City Council
is authorized to issue bonds for the purpose stated therein as
provided by law.
(b) That the votes of more than two-thirds of all the voters
voting at said election upon said Bond Proposition "B" were cast in
favor of the adoption of said bond proposition, and said bond
proposition is hereby declared to be carried, and this City Council
is authorized to issue bonds for the purpose stated therein as
provided by law.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk of this City is hereby directed to
enter this resolution in full in the minutes of this City Council, which
entry shall constitute the City Clerk's statement of the result of the
election.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this
Resolution.

regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Costa
Mesa at an adjourned meeting of said City Council, held on the 18th day
of September, 1973, and that it was so adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen: Hammett, Pinkley, Wilson
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT: Councilmen: Jordan, Raciti

of Orange, State of California, duly authorized by Resolution No. 73-93,
adopted by the City Council of said City on the 20th day of August, 1973,
do hereby certify that I have canvassed the returns of the Special Muni-
cipal Elections Consolidated held in said City on the 11th day of
September, 1973, and find that the number of votes given at each precinct
and the number of votes given in the City to the measures voted for, were
as follows:
